proudly delivered two free Skills Bootcamps in 2021/22 as part an Institute of Coding consortium on behalf of the Department for Education as part of their Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs, in partnership with employers, providers and local authorities

Skills Bootcamps are free adult courses designed to boost career prospects in the technology sector and are available to those aged 19+ who are seeking to retrain into a tech career. The Lifetime Skills Guarantee aims to provide adults with the relevant skills to progress in work and ensure employers have access to a skilled workforce.

Course Content

TechUP used our award-winning experience to deliver two industry focused Skills Bootcamps in data and software development. Designed in close collaboration with industry these 14 week online courses incorporated one to one mentoring, flexible learning and exciting guest speakers as customised confidence building sessions for those belong to an underserved community. On successful completion of the Skills Bootcamps learners were invited to interview with one of our industry partners.

Skills Bootcamp in Data

The programme includes weekly live tutor led online lectures and workshops, drop-in support sessions, independent online learning, three intensive half day online events, networking, careers fairs, one to one mentoring and motivations sessions, totalling an average of 16.5 hours per week study time.

This Skills Bootcamp is designed for people with little to no previous tech sector experience who are interested in training into a Data role or self-employed people who wish to incorporate Data into their business.

The blended learning approach of this Skills Bootcamp makes it ideal for those needing flexibility, all independent study can be completed at a time to suit you with live teaching also recorded for those unable to attend live sessions.
