About Skills Bootcamps
Leveraging our award-winning experience, we delivered two industry-focused Skills Bootcamps in data and software development in 2019/20. Designed in close collaboration with industry experts, these 14-week online courses incorporated one-to-one mentoring, flexible learning, and exciting guest speakers, along with customized confidence-building sessions for individuals from underserved communities. Upon successful completion of the Skills Bootcamps, learners were invited to interview with one of our industry partners.
Course Content
The programme included weekly live tutor-led online lectures and workshops, drop-in support sessions, independent online learning, three intensive half-day online events, networking, careers fairs, one-to-one mentoring, and motivational sessions, totaling an average of 16.5 hours per week of study time.
The blended learning approach of the Skills Bootcamps made them ideal for those needing flexibility. All independent study could be completed at a time that suited the learner, with live teaching sessions also recorded for those unable to attend live.
This Skills Bootcamp was designed for individuals with little to no previous tech sector experience who were interested in transitioning into a Data role, as well as self-employed individuals who wished to incorporate Data into their business.
